A newborn baby opossum rescue reminded us last night how fragile wild lives can be. These tiny animals rely on fast action, gentle hands, and deep compassion – and our team was ready to respond.

Late in the evening, someone brought in eight orphaned baby opossums.
Their mother didn’t survive, but the babies were still alive – warm, wiggly, and hungr
Our team quickly provided heat, fluids, and formula.
We’re now offering round-the-clock care to stabilize them.
If you ever find orphaned wildlife, organizations like Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary provide helpful resources and emergency contact guidance.
While we settled the opossums, a young raccoon kit made a dramatic entrance.
He arrived loud and full of attitude, demanding attention the moment he came through the door.
Now, he’s safe, fed, and still making noise.

Sadly, one newborn baby opossum found alone on a sidewalk didn’t survive.
A kind person rushed him to us, but he passed away before arrival.
Even so, he didn’t leave this world alone.
He was held, kept warm, and offered love in his final moments.
That kind of care matters. It always does.

Some days bring life and hope.
Others bring quiet grief.
But no matter what, we show up – not just to rescue, but to comfort.
