A Safer Capture Net for Wildlife Rescue
In wildlife rescue, the wrong net can do real damage. Nylon mesh can snag talons, split tail feathers, and create panic.
This Frabill Conservation Series net uses a rubber coated, knotless bag that reduces snagging and protects plumage during capture. That alone makes it a better choice for bird rehab work.
We have learned over thousands of intakes that smoother net material means fewer broken feathers and less handling time.
20 x 23 Inch Hoop, Deep Bag
The 20 x 23 inch hoop size gives enough surface area for:
- Ducks
- Geese
- Large shorebirds
- Mid sized raptors
The deep bag helps contain wing spread during capture, which reduces thrashing and risk of secondary injury.
Camlock Reinforced Handle
The camlock reinforced handle adds stability. Cheap nets twist or flex under pressure. That leads to missed captures and more stress for the animal.
This one holds shape. When you get one clean scoop, you want it to count.
Best Use Scenarios
- Window strike birds
- Waterfowl in parking lots
- Raptors grounded but still mobile
- Wildlife confined in fenced areas
Safety Note
Always approach injured wildlife calmly and deliberately. Never pin wings against the frame. Once contained, transfer immediately into a dark, ventilated transport carrier. Do not leave animals sitting in a net.
If you are not licensed for wildlife rehabilitation, contact a permitted rehabber before attempting capture.
